Having trouble seeing the loading screen and Message Of The Day (MOTD) screens lately when joining the server?
If the answer to that question is yes, then it is best for you to opt-in to the chromium branch of GMOD.
Due to recent changes to the Loading Screen and the MOTD to utilize new web features, the default branch is not able to load these screens properly.
Below are the steps you need to take to opt-in to the Chromium Branch of GMOD.
1) Right-click on GMOD in Steam and click ‘Properties’
2) Go to the ‘Betas’ tab and select the Chromium Branch from the drop-down
